Recently, I was invited to lead a session for the Women's Forum for the Economy and Society. The topic was "How to Be a Selfish Woman: Challenging Societal Views on Self-Care and Personal Priorities." I had planned to share how vital it is for women to prioritize themselves without fear of rejection or judgment. It was the perfect opportunity to launch my personal coaching course on self-confidence, which I passionately teach to my students.
However, life had other plans. Two weeks before the event, I felt unwell and faced a difficult decision: to either push through and lead the session or cancel it and prioritize my well-being. My teachings on self-awareness and listening to your body guided my choice—I decided to withdraw. I had to practice what I preach: always choose yourself.
The support I received from the event organizers was overwhelming. Had I pushed myself despite feeling unwell, I wouldn't have been at my best, and worse, I would have betrayed my instincts.
This experience perfectly illustrated the essence of self-confidence: it begins with honoring yourself and your boundaries. Self-confidence is not just about public speaking or taking the spotlight—it’s about trusting your choices, even when they challenge societal expectations.
Why Self-Confidence is Crucial for Women

For women, confidence often feels like a constant battle. We are taught from a young age to nurture others, to put family and friends before ourselves. While this nurturing spirit is valuable, it sometimes overshadows our ability to put ourselves first. Women tend to find it difficult to talk about their achievements, promote themselves, or ask for more—things that many men do effortlessly.
This is why confidence is essential for women. A confident woman can assert her boundaries, prioritize her mental and physical health, and embrace her strengths without apology. She speaks up for herself, accepts compliments without hesitation, and isn’t afraid to say no when necessary.
Confidence isn't about arrogance; it's about knowing your worth and embracing it. Confident women understand that taking up space and sharing their voice is not something to shy away from—it’s something to celebrate.
How to Build Confidence with KrisP. Production
At KrisP. Production’s masterclasses, I teach more than just acting techniques; I focus on life skills that help students—both actors and non-actors—step into their confidence. These classes are designed to help individuals express themselves fully, handle pressure, and take control of their narratives. Some of the key skills I teach include:
Public Speaking
Whether it's commanding attention in a room or delivering a powerful speech, I help students overcome stage fright and speak with clarity and conviction. This skill is essential not just for actors but for anyone looking to make an impact in meetings, interviews, or social settings.
Body Language and Presence
How you carry yourself speaks volumes. I teach students to be mindful of their posture, gestures, and expressions to project confidence. Even if you’re feeling nervous, strong body language can shift how you are perceived—and even how you feel inside.

Emotional Intelligence
Understanding your emotions and how they influence your interactions is a key part of self-confidence. In my workshops, students learn to recognize their emotions and use them to enhance their communication, rather than suppress them. This leads to more authentic, impactful interactions.
Self-Promotion and Assertiveness
Women often hesitate to promote themselves or take credit for their accomplishments. My training emphasizes the importance of recognizing your value and being unapologetic about your successes. Whether it’s in your career or personal life, learning to assert your needs and promote your talents is crucial.
Building Self-Awareness
Self-confidence starts with knowing who you are and what you stand for. I guide students in exploring their inner motivations, values, and fears, helping them align their actions with their authentic selves. This self-awareness allows them to make decisions that are true to their values, fostering long-lasting confidence.
Improvisation and Quick Thinking
Life is unpredictable, and being able to think on your feet is a valuable skill. Improvisation exercises help students sharpen their quick-thinking abilities, which boosts confidence in handling unexpected situations—whether it’s on stage, in a meeting, or during a challenging conversation.

Authentic Expression
Many people wear masks to fit into societal expectations, but true confidence comes from embracing and expressing your authentic self. I teach my students to stop worrying about what others think and focus on what feels right for them. This includes letting go of the fear of judgment and learning to accept both their strengths and imperfections.
Transformative Outcomes
The benefits of building confidence are profound. Once you start choosing yourself, your personal and professional relationships improve. You become more resilient in the face of challenges and start to attract new opportunities. Many of my students have shared stories of how their lives transformed after learning these skills—whether it’s getting a promotion, feeling more comfortable in social situations, or finally pursuing a long-held dream.
Whether you're an aspiring actor or someone who simply wants to be more assertive in everyday life, our workshops are designed to help you become the most confident version of yourself.
Remember, you are the most important person in your life. Always choose yourself first, and everything else will fall into place.
