Service Description

For Whom: If you're a shy or reserved individual who doesn't thrive in group settings, or if you prioritize quicker progress in a personalized environment where the instructor tailors classes to your specific needs, our private sessions provide individualized attention. These sessions are designed to elevate your workplace communication skills within a secure and confidential setting. Michael Chekhov was a Russian-American theatre practitioner and acting teacher. His techniques still taught around the world prove to be reliable and accessible for actors of any level to develop and perform characters through the use of imagination and bodily sensation (Jack Nicholson and Marilyn Monroe being two of note). We will be exploring the ways our imagination can see and feel our body and how that can inform our acting choices in strong yet subtle ways. The techniques explored will be: - 6 Directions - Imaginary Bodies - Body Centres - Character Objects - Psychological Gesture - Atmosphere Work Learning focus: 1. Heightened Self-Awareness: - explore and understand your emotional and physical selves, improve emotional intelligence and personal growth. 2. Expressive Communication Skills - Through exercises in movement, voice, and imagination, participants develop a more expressive and dynamic communication style. 3. Stress Reduction and Relaxation. - Michael Chekhov's focus on physical and psychological relaxation techniques helps participants manage stress and anxiety, remaining calm under pressure, positively impacting mental well-being. 4. Creative Problem-Solving: The imaginative and creative aspects of Michael Chekhov's approach foster innovative thinking and problem-solving skills. 5. Enhanced Presence and Confidence. Participants gain a sense of authenticity and a powerful stage presence that can positively influence both personal and professional interactions. These sessions are taught and facilitated by Kristina Pakhomova.
